Fennec foxes have a lifespan of a maximum of twelve years while living in the wild. To make their own living place, they are quite good at digging out sands for themselves. Once they are tamed and become well-trained, then will they be able to be taken home and considered as pets. This is one of the reasons why this specific species of fox just like the silver fox is considered by several animal organizations as a domesticated fox that can then be considered as pets.

It is a well-known fact that Fennec foxes usually survive more when placed in the wild. Nonetheless, some may still treat them as foxes that are not able to be domesticated, but they can actually become a domesticated fox if you just provide them the correct and most appropriate kind of training.
