Key Responsibilities
- Academic Leadership
- Provide strategic direction and oversight for the academic programs within the schools, ensuring alignment with the university’s vision and goals.
- Foster an environment of academic excellence by promoting innovative teaching methodologies, interdisciplinary learning, and student-centric education.
- Lead curriculum development and review processes to ensure programs remain relevant, competitive, and responsive to industry and societal needs.
- Monitor and enhance academic standards, accreditation compliance, and quality assurance processes.
- Research Excellence
- Champion a robust research culture by encouraging faculty and students to engage in high-impact research and scholarly activities.
- Secure funding opportunities, grants, and partnerships to support research initiatives and infrastructure development.
- Promote publication of research findings in reputed journals and presentations at national and international conferences.
- Facilitate collaboration between schools and external research organizations to advance knowledge creation and innovation.
- Innovative Teaching Methodologies
- Drive the adoption of modern pedagogical approaches, including technology-enhanced learning, experiential learning, and outcome-based education.
- Encourage faculty to integrate emerging trends such as artificial intelligence, data analytics, and sustainability into the curriculum.
- Support the development of blended and online learning platforms to enhance accessibility and flexibility for students.
- Faculty Development
- Identify, mentor, and retain high-calibre faculty members with expertise in diverse fields.
- Design and implement professional development programs to enhance teaching, research, and leadership skills among faculty.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and recognize outstanding contributions to foster a motivated and productive faculty team.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders (faculty, students, administration) and external partners (industry, government, alumni, and community organizations).
- Collaborate with industry leaders to align academic programs with workforce demands and create opportunities for internships, placements, and joint projects.
- Represent the university at national and international forums, conferences, and events to enhance its visibility and reputation.
- Engage with accrediting bodies, regulatory authorities, and funding agencies to ensure compliance and secure resources.
- Administrative and Operational Oversight
- Manage budgets, resources, and infrastructure allocation for the schools in collaboration with university leadership.
- Oversee and ensure a supportive and inclusive academic environment.
- Address grievances, conflicts, and challenges within the schools promptly and effectively.
Qualifications
- Educational Background:
- A Ph.D. from a recognized institution in a relevant academic discipline.
- A distinguished record of academic achievement, including teaching, research, and publications.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in higher education, with at least 5 years in a leadership role (e.g., Dean, Associate Dean, Department Chair, or equivalent).
- Proven expertise in academic administration, curriculum development, and faculty management.
- Demonstrated success in securing research funding and fostering a research-intensive environment.
- Certifications (Preferred):
