Race Car of the Century

What makes one car stand out from all the rest from a century of motor racing? Ground-breaking innovation? Victories at the highest level? Dominating the opposition?

Each of the cars on our shortlist below displays those qualities, and we will shortly be asking you, our readers, to help decide which one should be named the car of the century.

Voting opens in April as part of Motor Sport‘s centenary celebrations. In 100 years of publication, we have featured every significant racing car of the period in our pages, from Bentley’s Le Mans-conquering Speed Six to today’s hybrid F1 cars, Formula E machines and even autonomous racers.

Find out more on the ten shortlisted cars below — one from each decade — and have your say in crowning the very best from next month.
