Willmar, April 25, 10 a.m., Roosevelt Elementary School; Roosevelt fourth- and fifth-graders will perform a joint songfest and orchestra concert, featuring songs such as “What a Wonderful World,” “Karangatia ra,” “Huwaya Huuwa,” and “Silver Moon Boat.”
New London, April 25, 7 p.m., Little Theatre Auditorium; The Little Theatre presents One Mic Stand with Rick LeRen, and invites the public to take to the stage for karaoke. Doors open at 6 p.m. for happy hour, and the karaoke begins at 7.
Morris, April 25-26, 7 p.m., April 26, 1 p.m., Edson Auditorium; The University of Minnesota-Morris presents the UMM Dance Ensemble. Tickets are $10 for general admission and $5 for students, and may be purchased online at

Granite Falls, April 26, 2 p.m., Fagen Fighters WWII Museum; The Fagen Fighters WWII Museum invites the public to attend a performance by local choir Building Bridges in the fighter hangar.
Willmar, April 26, 7 p.m., Willmar Education and Arts Center; The Willmar Area Symphonic Orchestra, under the direction of Paula Ulicsni Halvorson, presents its annual Young Artist Concert. The guest artist is tenor Maxwell Trochlil. Budding artists from the Willmar area will be introduced, and the orchestra will also perform Tchaikovsky’s “Symphony No. 5.” Admission is $15 for adults and free for those 18 and under; tickets will be available at the door. The performance will feature Jane Rossmeisl on bass, Matt Reich on drums; Paul Woolverton on piano, Kaylee Helgeson on tenor sax and flute, Carly Fuhrman on trumpet and Madison Anderson-Wilson and Kit Grode on vocals.

The event will begin with an author read and talk at 10 a.m., followed by a premier of documentary “We Still Hope” and a discussion with the filmmaker. An interactive workshop and a theatrical performance will take place in the afternoon, and the event will close with a performance from hip-hop star Nur-D.
