CLC Performing Arts Center presents Kevin Kling – Brainerd Dispatch

BRAINERD — Storyteller Kevin Kling presents “The Love Show” at 7 p.m. Feb. 15 at the Chalberg Theatre at Central Lakes College in Brainerd.
This event is part of the Central Lakes College Performing Arts Center’s Cultural Arts Series, which showcases exceptional talent from across the region and beyond.
Kling, hailed as a Minnesota state treasure, is a playwright, actor, author, and storyteller known for his rich humor and unique perspective. His work reflects life’s challenges and triumphs, informed by his own experiences, including a congenital birth disorder and partial paralysis from a motorcycle accident.
Kling’s storytelling talents have taken him from local libraries and gymnasiums to prestigious venues like The Kennedy Center, Off-Broadway theaters, and international festivals in Australia, Europe, and Thailand. His accolades include fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and The McKnight Foundation, as well as awards such as the Whiting Award and the Eric Peterson Award.
“The Love Show” brings together a team of talent, including Prudence Johnson, Dan Chouinard, Claudia Schmidt, Dane Stauffer, Bradley Greenwald, and Simone Perrin.
