Lycoming County, Pa. — Lycoming County has partnered with PayGOV.US to introduce electronic payment options for various government services, including the prothonotary’s office.

The move aims to simplify payment processes and offer residents more convenient access to government services. This digital shift reflects the county’s ongoing commitment to modernizing its operations and improving service delivery.

In addition to the prothonotary’s office, several other county departments have adopted digital payment systems. The Tax Claim Bureau now accepts online payments for real estate taxes. This service, available through the county’s website, includes a convenience fee for processing. The introduction of online payment methods makes it easier for residents to meet their tax obligations without visiting the office.

In 2023, Lycoming County expanded its partnership with GovPilot, a government management software provider, to streamline operations. The county’s efforts to expand online services include the Civil Courts Online Portal, which allows residents to file civil cases, submit documents, and access court records remotely.
